22 Nov Before and After of the Studio: So much to be thankful for!
The past month has been unreal for us.
The grand opening party for the new studio space was a huge success, and we are so thankful to everyone who came out to support us and for our wonderful sponsors: Ashley Cakes, Bunn DJ Company, Cockadoodlemoo, Erin McLean Events, Jubala Coffee, and Total Production Services!
This process has been a nearly three-month labor of love and we are so excited (also exhausted) to see this come to fruition!
One of the great parts of owning a small business is the chance to pour some sweat equity into your company. To plant seeds, of time, effort, and energy and watch them grow. Our favorite part of this studio is that WE did it, as a team, we designed it, tore down walls, painted, sealed floors, changed lights, created wood walls and trim, decorated it, and now we want to fill it with creatives of all types on a weekly basis!
Our desire is for this space to be a place for creatives, businesses, artists, and professionals to come and create content, draw, craft, paint, sing, photograph, film, speak, share, and grow their passions and their businesses!
Here is a behind the scenes look at the before and after of our studio transformation:
The rooms that are now our creative meeting area and editing suite were dull and dark with some pretty nasty carpet.
The conference room was once an office with two doors and it completely closed off the space and made for a very congested feeling when you walked in the front door. We knocked down the office walls and opened up the entry way to allow natural light to flood the space and create an open floor plan.
In short, the studio was a hot mess. The second office was similar to the editing suite. Very dark and dated with nasty carpet. We wanted to brighten the space and make it feel open and inviting like the rest of the studio. It was dark, dingy, dirty, and filled with furniture and trash. This was by far the biggest undertaking and the most dramatic change!
Going from this (above) to an all white room with beautiful light coming in is amazing!
Take a look at the finished product:

When you walk in, you’ll be welcomed!

Another look at the entry – no carpets, no blinds!
