03 Nov Grand Opening with a Fresh Look
Posted at 18:50h in behind the scenes
Over the past couple of weeks, you’ve likely noticed that we’ve experienced some big changes:
1. We refreshed our website (Have you looked around? We love our updated portfolio.)
2. We refined our logo.
3. We opened our new studio space!
Why all of the changes?
We wanted to refresh our brand to showcase the new addition of our studio space and the idea that we offer all production services in-house. Also, our we wanted a logo that told our story and could be used as a talking piece and conversation starter for our company. Naturally, these pieces needed an updated home on the web.
How did we figure out where to begin?
We sat down and discussed what our core values, core focus, and direction of our business would be moving forward. These were the three filters we used to decide if we wanted to refresh our brand and what the new logo needed to represent.
And, of course, the logical next question is – what values and principles did we decide on?
Our top three principles are collaboration, in-house production service, and storytelling.
A portico is literally an old porch. To us, it represents a place for people to gather around and share stories, to have a collaborative experience. The “roof” in the new Portico logo represents the porch and the idea that we can do everything under one roof or in house.
We want the updated logo to show our clients and potential clients that our desire in working together is that it will be a collaboration, and we can meet all of our clients’ production needs in house.
The Grand Opening Celebration
To celebrate the new studio space, we held a grand opening on October 27. We couldn’t have done it without amazing sponsors: Nancy Ray Photography, Jubala Coffee, Bunn DJ Company, Ashley Cakes, and CockADoodleMoo.
Didn’t get a chance to see the space? We’d love to give you a tour! Just shoot us a message and we’ll find a time for you to come by.
Interested in renting the studio? Let’s work together.
