SHED Letterpress | Handmade Quality Print Goods a film by Portico Pictures

Sarah Almond is the owner of SHED Letterpress, a local print shop in Durham, NC. She is handcrafting quality letterpress goods using her amazing Heidelberg Windmill Press. Her process in working with this beautiful machine is mesmerizing. Watching her mix the ink, set the plates, and fire up the press is so immersive and gives you an appreciation for handmade products. Listening to the sounds of the Heidelberg in action is mesmerizing, the machine almost makes music as the paper goes through the printing process. As Sarah says, “There is something people inherently understand about the value of handmade goods”
